Pensum_GPT

På Dansk A pensum er 14 forfattere obligatorisk læsning. 13 er mænd, 1 er kvinde. Hvilket perspektiv giver det unge gymnasieelever på verden? Det besluttede vi os, sammen med Dansklærerforeningen, for at finde ud af. Pensum_GPT er en AI-chatbot, der er trænet udelukkende på litteratur fra de 14 forfattere på pensum. Den fungerer som en digital repræsentation og personificering af pensum – og en ret kontroversiel en af slagsen. Vi integrerede den direkte i DM-funktionen på Instagram-profilen @pensum_gpt.

 

In the Danish highschool curriculum, 14 authors are mandatory reading. 13 are men, 1 is a woman.
What perspective does that give you on the world?

 

Together with the Danish Teachers Association – we decided to find out. Pensum_GPT is an AI chatbot trained exclusively on literature from the 14 authors on the curriculum. It functions as a digital representation and personification of the curriculum — and a rather controversial one of its kind. We integrated it directly into the DM feature on the Instagram profile @pensum_gpt, so that everybody could chat with it in real time.

The campaign mobilized teachers, students, and politicians — all without a media budget. Through widespread media coverage and public debate on Go’ Aften Live, the campaign led to a political agreement with the Minister of Education to add more female authors to the curriculum.
